Where do I take my children?

On the east end of the property, you will find the Children’s Ministry Courtyard. The Children’s Ministry has classes available from nursery/infant through 6th grade. There are Jr. High classes on Sundays and Wednesdays during regular services, and High School classes on Wednesdays during regular service. There is also a Special Needs ministry; please ask for details in the Children’s Ministry courtyard.

All classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers, who have all undergone background checks.  We hope to make your child’s church experience safe, exciting, memorable and, most importantly, fruitful.
Feel free to ask an Usher or Greeter in the sanctuary to assist you in helping you find Children’s Ministry classrooms.

Bible teaching

Calvary Chapel Antelope Valley emphasizes the study of God’s word verse by verse, chapter, by chapter, book by book to discover His love, grace and mercy. Our message comes simply from the Word of God, as we apply His unchanging truth. Our desire is for you to strengthen your knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to have a deep, intimate relationship with Him. We believe that the Bible is God’s infallible Word and to know God’s Word is to know Him (John 1:1). We encourage the daily reading of God’s Word by all.

In our worship services we emphasize these Six aspects of ministry:

  • The Worship of God
  • Study of His word
  • Fellowship with other believers
  • Discipleship Training
  • Equipping for service
  • Outreach to the un-churched

How do I become a member at Calvary Chapel?

Calvary Chapel AV does not have formal membership. We believe that all who place their trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are members of God’s family. Those who attend Calvary Chapel Antelope Valley demonstrate their support by regularly attending, praying for this fellowship, tithing, and serving in ministry as they are led by the Lord to do so.

What about Sacraments & Dedications?

Water Baptism is for those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins, who understand the meaning of life in Christ, through His death and Resurrection. This is a public declaration of faith and a visual demonstration of what has taken place in the heart of one who follows Christ. “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” – Romans 6:4.

Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. We celebrate because we remember the life and salvation that was brought through Christ’s death on the cross, to those who place their faith in Him. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 gives a wonderful description of communion: “…the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.’ In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes’.” If you have any questions about communion, our Pastors and Elders are available to talk to in the sanctuary after each service.

Baby Dedications are a special time in which parents vow to raise and lead their children in God’s love and truth. We are given an example of a baby dedication in the biblical record of Hannah and her son, Samuel, in 1 Samuel 1:11, 26-28. During a dedication (at the beginning of second service), a Pastor (of your choice) will pray with you and your family, before the congregation, so we can all be in one accord, agreeing with your heart’s prayer for the Lord to help you raise your child(ren) in a godly and biblical way. We do require an appointment with one of our staff pastors in which information and guidelines are given to parents or guardians to read and agree to before setting a date for any dedication. To ensure your appointment runs punctually, please print, and fill out the Baby Dedication Form before arriving at your appointment.

To make an appointment, please call the church office 661-942-0404, Tues-Fri, 10:00am-3:00pm
